Ed Rendon is a Principal in Capitol Advocacy’s Southern California office, bringing more than 25 years of experience in government relations, labor advocacy, and public affairs. He has represented a diverse range of public and private sector clients, including organizations in education, transportation, technology, healthcare, retail, consumer products, and consulting, with deep expertise navigating legislative, regulatory, and political matters in Sacramento and Los Angeles.

Prior to joining Capitol Advocacy, Ed spent 16 years in leadership roles with the Teamsters Union, where he oversaw political operations for Teamsters Joint Council 42, representing 150,000 members across the western United States. He managed political engagement programs, legislative advocacy efforts, and campaign expenditures exceeding $1.5 million per election cycle, helping elect dozens of local, state, and federal leaders. He also brings private-sector experience, working collaboratively with corporate stakeholders on labor, workforce, and policy initiatives, which gives him a unique ability to bridge the relationships between business and labor communities.

In 2010, Ed founded the San Gabriel Valley Civic Alliance, a regional business advocacy organization focused on multi-sector collaboration and public policy innovation. Throughout his career, he has served on numerous workforce, education, labor, and business advisory boards and commissions. Ed holds degrees from Loyola Marymount University and Eastern Michigan University, where he earned a Master of Arts in Counseling.
