SoCal Advocacy

Capitol Advocacy has – for over 20 years – represented a diverse array of clients at the State Capitol. But, knowing that California is the largest, most populous state in the nation, our firm understands that city and county representation are equally important. While California is a leader in setting progressive policies, those agendas oftentimes begin at the local level. To ensure our clients receive the best representation in California, we have partnered with SoCal Advocacy, our sister company, to provide an additional level of representation in Southern California.
Edward J. Rendon, longtime labor leader and business advocate, founded SoCal Advocacy in 2021 after recognizing a direct relationship with local and state policies was missing from the advocacy equation. Along with his partner, Tracey Chavira, veteran lobbyist with over 20 years of experience navigating Los Angeles’ government, procurement, and political sphere, SoCal Advocacy has a proven track record and rich networks in advocacy, policy advancement, and civic collaboration that gets results.
As our sister company, SoCal Advocacy provides full-service government relations and public affairs throughout the Southern California region. Whether it be a local government ordinance, or an issue at a board or commission, SoCal Advocacy puts boots-on-the-ground to ensure your business is covered from Northern Los Angeles County, to the Inland Empire, down to the California-Mexico border.
