Insurance & Financial Services
Our team has helped fintech, insurance, and other financial services companies negotiate complex legislation and regulation, including stopping harmful measures that would limit access to these services or create additional liability or expense in order to operate in the California market.

With financial services experience in the private sector and in the Assembly Banking and Finance Committee, we understand the financial services and insurance industries and the Legislature’s view of those industries. We have strong working relationships with the consumer groups who seek to limit subprime lending or place over-restrictive limitations on fintech or non-traditional financial services.
“Protecting the interests of businesses in the insurance and financial services industry requires the rare combination of expertise, relationships, and attention to detail that Capitol Advocacy’s team of lobbyists has to offer.”
We have helped clients navigate legislative battles following the mortgage meltdown in 2007 and, more recently, we have opposed unworkable COVID-related mandates on insurance and financial services companies.
We understand the challenging nature of California’s homeowner’s insurance market, and we work in partnership with insurers and employers on worker’s compensation issues.
