Margaret Gladstein

Margaret Gladstein’s 20 years of political and public policy experience provide clients with a unique perspective and solid understanding of complex government issues. As a partner in Capitol Advocacy, Margaret advocates for a diverse group of business clients in issue areas that include retail, financial services and technology.

Margaret previously served as the chief consultant of the California State Assembly Banking and Finance Committee, where she developed and analyzed legislation related to financial services, corporate governance, identity theft and privacy. Before joining the Banking Committee, she spent two years handling transportation, energy and budget issues for a long time State Senator from the Central Valley,

For more than a decade, Margaret served as a campaign consultant for statewide initiatives and legislative candidates throughout the West. During this time Margaret was recognized as a "Rising Star" and won several Pollie Awards from the American Association of Political Consultants for her work. She was vice president of marketing at The Money Store, formerly the nation's largest direct home equity lender.

A native of McAlester, Okla., Margaret graduated with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Sacramento with her husband Tim and daughter Michelle.
